Bigwigs fall in Zanu PF primaries

Several Zanu PF bigwigs and sitting legislators have fallen by the wayside, preliminary results of the party’s primary elections show. Ministers; Dr Christopher Mushohwe, Dr Mike Bimha and Cde Abednico Ncube lead the pack of big guns who lost the primary elections. Celebratory mood gripped Chimanimani District following the successful holding of primary elections that saw thousands casting votes with Cdes Joshua Sacco and Nokuthula Matsikenyeri emerging victorious to represent their constituencies in parliament while Senator Monica Mutsvangwa reclaimed her position uncontested. US raps Iran nuclear deal

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says a landmark nuclear deal with Iran was “built on lies” after Israel claimed to have proof of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons programme. He said it showed that the accord with Iran and six world powers in 2015 was based on deception, and not goodwill. Funeral parade held for 5 soldiers

A funeral parade for five soldiers who perished in an accident in Murehwa on the 28th of April has been held at One Commando Barracks in Harare. The accident occurred when a Zebra Kiss bus heading for Mutoko side swiped an army bus which was heading to Harare. Eight people died on the spot while 31 others were injured.
