Zimbabwean dancer and choreographer Victor Peturo says he was enriched after undergoing a 5 months cultural exchange programme in South Korea and his desire is to also mentor locals on the various Korean dances.
25 year old Peturo participated in three international dance festivals where he also showcased the Zimbabwean culture to Korean people.
Inspired by experiences gained, Peturo now intends to impart the Korean cultural heritage to the Zimbabwean audience.
Founder and director of Afrikera Arts Trust, Peturo’s Stable, Ms Soukaina Edom said the choice to select Peturo was motivated by a firm belief that the talented dancer is a good brand marketer for Zimbabwe’s culture.
The synergy promoted existing mutual relations between Zimbabwe and South Korea noted its Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Cho Jaichel.
Historically Koreans enjoy a rich and ancient tradition of a loving culture anchored in music and dance.
