Zanu PF Mashonaland East provincial conference has re-affirmed President Emmerson Mnangagwa as the party’s candidate during the 2018 harmonised elections.

This comes barely a week before the Zanu PF extra ordinary congress in Harare.

The re-affirmation was part of other resolutions made by the party at the provincial conference held at Mbuya Nehanda Hall in Marondera presided over by provincial chairman Cde Joel Biggie Matiza.

Zanu PF Politburo member Dr Sydney Sekeramayi said the province is fully behind Cde Mnangagwa’s candidature and urged people in the province to show their support by registering to vote so that he wins resoundingly.

Mashonaland East has 647 delegates to the extra ordinary congress to be held in Harare from the 14th to the 16th of this month.
