Zimbabwe’s African Bowls Championship double gold medalist Aaron Chilundo has set his sights on the world bowls singles which comes to Australia next year and is appealing for sponsorship.

The 20 year old Alexandra Sports Club’s bowling star Chilundo conquered Africa by winning two gold medals and a silver at the African Bowls Championships in Johannesburg.

His focus is now on claiming sculps at the world championship that comes to Australia in October next year.

The national singles champion is already planning for the event and seeks sponsorship to raise funds for airfare and visa fees required for him to be able to attend.

Chilundo rose to prominence after being crowned a provincial champion and his journey thereafter has been one of success after another.

He specialises in the singles in a sport once considered to be elitist and for the old but he said his rise has helped demystify the myth.
