The government has urged the corporate world and companies to participate in corporate social responsibility through assisting the vulnerable people in the society.
The Minister of Mines and Mining Development Cde Winston Chitando said the handover of residential blocks to Shungu Dzevana Orphanage by Mimosa should be complemented as it helps government efforts by supporting the disadvantaged people across the country.
The Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Cde Petronella Kagonye also said the government is willing to make sure that all vulnerable people have the required resources besides decent accommodation.
Reverend Sister Mercy Mutyambizi founder and national director of Shungu Dzevana Trust expressed her joy for the good work done by Mimosa to construct 2 blocks with 4 houses that accommodate nearly 60 children.
The $2 million project commenced in 2013 and Shungu Dzevana was established in 1992.
