The Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Cde Angeline Masuku has pronounced an open door policy inviting captains of industry and commerce and other leaders to come together and craft a development strategy for the city.
During her address to the Zanu PF Women’s League in the city, Cde Masuku said her office is set to articulate the development agenda for Bulawayo where stakeholders are expected to come and input.
She said the economic revival of Bulawayo needs a common approach by every stakeholder for meaningful development to take place.
Cde Masuku however warned party members against abusing her office by bringing petty and irrelevant issues indicating the revival of the city’s economy is the core of her appointment.
She assured the people of Bulawayo that she will do all she can to unlock resources for the revival of industries in the country’s former industrial hub.
Famed as the country’s industrial hub, Bulawayo industries are currently operating at between 35 and 46 percent capacity utilisation.
