Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) co-founder Marc Duvillard has condemned Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League teams for turning a blind eye to young talent but rather focusing on older players.

Domestic premiership teams have come under fire for a reluctance to give young players an opportunity of showcasing their talent in the Zimbabwean topflight league.

Duvillard says local academies have a huge talent base which is ready to excel in the PSL but topflight teams are not willing to give young players a chance.

The AYSA co-founder made the remarks at the Arcadia Vision 2020 tournament held in the capital at the weekend.

Knowledge Musona broke into the South African premiership at Kaizer Chiefs without having played in the Zimbabwean PSL a scenario Duvillard said occurred after local clubs appeared reluctant to give him a chance.

Duvillard said the institution has players with similar talent to that of Musona and Khama Billiat and it is up to PSL teams to identify the rough diamonds.
