There is optimism by small to medium enterprises in Mutare that the economy can indeed be set on the recovery path.

The small to medium enterprises (SMEs) sector in Manicaland said the country’s economy can recover as a result of positive indicators that are there within the economy.

Policies President Emmerson Mnangagwa has spelt out such as support for entrepreneurs’ as well engaging capital from outside the country can propel the country forward said chairman of the Manicaland Chamber of SMEs, Mr Moses Mwagura.

Entrepreneur, Mr Silas Kaja said Manicaland Province has numerous offerings such as prime agricultural land that can be used as a springboard for food security as well as exports.

Manicaland region produces a number of crops as well as fruits that are much sought after on the world market.

The country has set its sights on being food self secure with the command agriculture programme showing that this is indeed possible.
