Church leaders say President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s leadership has already brought in numerous positives that could lead to a better future.

They also called on Zimbabweans not to be hoodwinked by forces bent on destroying the new political dispensation.

Church leaders from various denominations converged in Harare today to pledge their allegiance to President Mnangagwa and the new government.

Speaking to the ZBC News patron of the Zimbabwe Amalgamated Churches Council Jimayi Muduvuri, Archbishop Loveness Manhango and Reverend Asmon Zihove said the role of the church is to support the government of the day in order to bring peace and development in the country.

The churches also underscored how the government has afforded Zimbabweans freedom of worship and remained firm in ensuring that Zimbabweans follow a path of moral uprightness.
