Schools have been challenged to embrace new technologies in teaching and learning in order to improve the quality of education in the country.

Information communication technologies (ICTs) are making dynamic changes in society, they are influencing all aspects of life with the education sector being one of them.

Parents, who attended a prize giving day at Houghton Park Primary School in Waterfalls, Harare challenged school authorities to continuously invest in ICTs, citing internet as a relevant tool for research in studies.

Pupils who excelled in different disciplines were honoured and they all look forward to a bright future.

Dandemutande CEO, Mr Nhema Nyagura and the headmistress for the school, Mrs Audrey Mbiriri acknowledged that across the globe, students using ICT facilities mostly show higher learning gains than those who do not use computers.
