Tourists in the resort town of Victoria Falls say they feel safe and are enjoying the obtaining peaceful environment in and around the destination, while tour operators say it has been business as usual over the past few days.

Zimbabwe’s premier tourists’ destination continues to witness an increase in business spurred by the surge in arrivals following the commissioning of the upgraded Victoria Falls International Airport.

Tourists from different countries across the globe, who are currently in the resort town, said they feel safe and are happy with the peaceful environment.

Tour operators in the resort town said it has been business as usual and are looking forward to record positive figures come the end of the current quarter.

Regarded as one of the most hospitable and safest destinations in the world, Victoria Falls recorded on average of 70% room occupancy level during the third quarter of this year.

As part of efforts to sustain the current growth momentum, the country is engaging more international airlines to fly into Victoria Falls.
