The Friends of Palestine Solidarity Movement says it is deeply appalled by the earthquake that killed over 440 people in Iran last Sunday.

The movement says it deeply shocked by the earthquake that hit the republic of Iran killing more than 440 people and leaving 6 700 with various degrees of wounds.

They appealed to the people of Zimbabwe to extend sympathy and aid to those left homeless as a result of the natural disaster.

They said they are happy about the swift assistance by other UN member states on the issue and blamed silence by the United States president for more than 24 hours after the disasters.
