The ZRP press and public relations section has been urged to intensify awareness campaigns to curb incidents of crime and road traffic accidents.

This comes amid revelations that cases of road accidents are rampant during the festive season thus the need to come up with robust strategies to curb the menace.

Addressing provincial ZRP press and public relations officers at the closing of a five day press and public relations 2017 evaluation workshop, ZRP Commissioner-Operations Mekiya Tanyanyiwa urged ZRP officers to craft strategies to curb incidents of crime and road accidents during and after the festive season.  

He emphasized that the officers have a crucial role to play during election time to make sure elections are peaceful.

The workshop was meant to equip the officers with skills and knowledge to sharpen proficiency in articulating public relations skills.
