The Bankers Association of Zimbabwe (BAZ) has availed $19200 for sinking of a deep borehole in Tsholotsho.

This follows the floods that displaced villagers in the area due to heavy rains last year.

With the victims having been relocated, BAZ has availed the $19200 towards the sinking of a deep borehole in the new area.

The Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere said the government will remain indebted to organisations that extend their hand in times of disasters.

He said the intervention will go a long way in providing clean and portable water to the people of Tsholotsho.

The borehole, which is solar powered, is expected to improve the water situation for the newly resettled villagers and livestock in the drought prone area of Tsholotsho.
