Basketball action returns to City Sports Centre

The Harare Basketball League (HBL) resumed this Saturday (yesterday) for the 2017/2018 season with action springing back to the City Sports Centre after 8 years of no action in the arena.  Harare City Sports Centre played host to the HBL’s opening encounter pitting defending champions Harare City Hornets and Cheetahs. The Zimbabwe Veterinary Students Association vaccinated more than 300 dogs in Makoni Chitungwiza during the rabbies day campaign held on Saturday (yesterday). Shot in the arm for xeroderma pigmentosum patients

A local pageant Miss Legacy Zimbabwe is organising a concert to be held later this month to raise funds for children who suffer from a rare but severe skin cancer called xeroderma pigmentosum. Zanu PF Harare Province is eyeing to register half a million members of the revolutionary party this year ahead of the harmonised elections. DDF to enhance service delivery

The District Development Fund (DDF) is set to purchase road construction equipment worth US$15 million, a move aimed at enhancing service delivery. The DDF is rehabilitating rural roads and infrastructure but lack of equipment has been a major challenge with the authority resorting to hiring equipment in some instances.
