Members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Foreign Affairs will engage Turkish authorities next week with a view to find lasting solutions to the problems facing Zimbabwean students in that country, amid reports that some are behind bars.

A sizeable number of Zimbabweans have fallen victim to human trafficking over the years as they travel overseas for business and educational purposes.

Recent incidences of arrest in Turkey have prompted the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs to visit the European nation with a view to engage authorities regarding the welfare of Zimbabwe students.

Foreign Affairs Portfolio Committee Chairman, Cde Kindness Paradza confirmed the move to engage Turkish authorities.
