The 2017 edition of the COSAFA Women’s championships has kicked off in Bulawayo with Namibia beating Botswana 4-nil at Babourfields Stadium.

A Vistorina Nuusiku Shangula brace, one from skilful Zenatha Goeieman Coleman and another from Twelikondjela Amukoto gave Namibia the three points.

Zambia thrashed Malawi 6-3 in a lunch-time kickoff and the Mighty Warriors are currently leading Madagascar 4-nil, courtesy of Rutendo Makore goals.

Zimbabwe are in Group A alongside Zambia, Madagascar and Malawi.
