The Indian Festival which was characterised by song and dance has ended in the capital with Indian Ambassador declaring it an annual event.

The closing ceremony of the Indian Festival at Reps Theatre in Belgravia saw the performances by Bollywood extravaganza a musical collaboration of Indian and local artists.

It was a show of famous Bollywood numbers under the guidance of Gilles Chuyen choreographer.

Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Ambassador Rungsung Masakui said that the festival was a success and assured fans that it is now an annual event.

The interaction between India and Zimbabwe in the arts sector is quite refreshing with hopes that the country will pluck a leaf from the Asian giants who have turned the sector into billion dollar industry.

Running under the theme, “Celebrating India at 70”, The second edition of the Indian Cultural Festival kicked off on the 16th of August and ended on the 30th August (yesterday).
