Poultry capacity building programme hailed

The Zanu PF Women’s League members in Bulawayo has hailed the capacity building programme in the poultry section which was facilitated by the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe saying it will help to minimize mortality rates. The African Union (AU) has begun the process to set up the African Medicines Agency (AMA) with Zimbabwe currently leading the taskforce mandated to oversee its implementation. The agency’s major objective is to curtail the proliferation of substandard as well as counterfeit drugs. World Health Organisation (WHO) director general, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says strong political will and domestic financing remains critical solutions in improving national health security for member countries. New irrigation schemes set for Chimanimani 

Two new irrigation schemes will soon be operational in Chimanimani district after a local development agency partnered the Rural District Council (RDC) for the project which will benefit more than 120 households. The irrigation schemes, Manzou and Nemapa are almost complete in Chimanimani thanks to the partnership between Caritas Mutare, villagers and the Chimanimani RDC. Calls for ban on night driving

The loss of lives on the country’s roads has led to intensified calls for the introduction of a ban on night driving. The proposed raft of measures will see cross border and intercity bus companies off the road from 9pm to 5am the following day. The measures are expected to stem the high number of accidents that normally occur at night.
