Preparations for the seventh Presidential Youth Interface rally dubbed ’The Mother of All Interface Rallies’ slated for Mkoba open space in Gweru are on course and the Midlands Province is expecting a bumper crowd of close to 100 000 people to attend the event.

Speaking at the extra ordinary provincial coordinating committee meeting at the party’s convention centre, Foreign Affairs Minister Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi told the gathering that it is not everyday that the President visits the province and implored the people to unite and ensure the rally is not only a success but the best interface rally that the Cde Robert Mugabe has ever addressed.

Zanu Midlands provincial youth chairman, Cde Prospser Machando expressed gratitude to various stakeholders for their overwhelming support which they have rendered to the youths.

He said although they are yet to pitch the tents at the venue, it is all systems go and they are now waiting for His Excellency President Mugabe to come and interface with the youths from the province.

In their presentation at the meeting provincial administrator, Mr Abiot Maronge and director in the office of the Midlands Minister of State Cde Jason Machaya, Mr Cleto Diwa said the preparations were on course and assured the political leadership that they will continue mobilising resources to ensure the rally is seamless.

Youths from the province are expected to throng Mkoba open space in their numbers for the interface with the President where they are expected to articulate some of the socio economic challenges that are affecting their well being.
