20 year old Panashe Gabi emerged the winner of the Jibilika Dance Festival 2017 at the event that saw more than 50 dancers battling at Theatre in the Park in the capital.
It was a tough battle as various youths clashed at the French hip-hop dance competition dubbed battle Rivalskool that was held in the capital yesterday.
Gabi who will be representing Zimbabwe at the international championships in Paris in December this year said he will do his best to raise the country’s flag high.
Other participants who proved their prowess in dance was 11 year-old Mickel Simenti who was among the top 5.
Young and energetic Mickel who also captured the eyes of the audience at the festival said he is happy and looking forward to be the best dancer in the world.
Jibilika Festival trust director, Nyaradzo Nhongonhema said the organisation will work together with the winner to make sure he is fully equipped by the time he goes to France.
The festival this year celebrated a decade of promoting dance and other elements of youth culture.
