Acting President Phelekezela Mphoko has visited the Mahofa family at their Harare residence in Greendale where he paid his condolences.

The Acting President consoled the Mahofa family saying the nation shares their grief as it has lost a rare breed of a freedom fighter who never got tired of working towards the upliftment of women during the liberation struggle and after independence.

Speakers who included deputy speaker of parliament, Cde Marble Chinomona and Minister of State for Harare Province, Cde Miriam Chikukwa concurred with the Acting President profiling the good works carried out by the late national heroine Cde Shuvai Ben Mahofa that earned her respect both in the party and across the nation.

Cde Mahofa died on Monday after collapsing at her home in Masvingo.
