The national broadcaster-ZBC has embarked on an initiative to promote local talent through radio and television programmes.
This came out during the launch of a seven track video album by Reverend Togarepi Chivaviro titled Maranatha in the capital this Tuesday (yesterday).
Guest of honour at the video album launch by the South African based musician Reverend Chivaviro, ZBC head of radio and television services, Mrs Tendai Madondo said the national broadcaster is on a drive to promote local artists on a number of radio and television programmes.
Reverend Chivaviro who had his first studio recording in 1999 launched his 13th album accompanied by videos which feature 13 renowned gospel artists.
The video album features songs from the 13 track audio album that was launched in April this year.
Some of the songs include the impending hit song Maranatha that features seven renowned Zimbabwean gospel musicians that is Baba Mechanic Manyeruke, Leonard Zhakata, Munyaradzi Munodawafa, Mathias Mhere and Olinda Marowa.
Reverend Chivaviro who tries to balance with his prophetic ministry said the DVD album will help enhance his musical career.
Invited guests who attended the launch of the seven track video album were amused by a sterling performances by up and coming gospel musicians Tekinah and Vadzidzi Vekutanga.
