Children should always value the advice on moral uprightness from their parents, as this helps in the creation of a respectable society.

Several government officials and villagers from Zindari in Mwenezi joined Zimbabwe`s Ambassador to South Africa, Isaac Moyo and his family for a memorial service held for his parents, Mr Ananias and Mrs Elina Zindari.

The Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Cde Prisca Mupfumura told those who gathered for the memorial that advice and education are parts of the legacy that children get from their parents.

Minister of State Security, Cde Kembo Mohadi emphasized the need for children to respect their parents as is stated in the Bible, while the Minister of State for liaising on psychomotor activities, Cde Josiah Hungwe consoled the Moyo family on the loss of their parents.

After the memorial service, villagers from Mwenezi were given mealie meal and rice as well as cooking oil which was brought by the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.

Chiefs and headmen were tasked to compile an updated list of all villages experiencing food shortages and forward it to ministry officials.
