Coke Studio in Africa and their broadcasting partner have launched Coke Studio Africa which starts screening on ZBC TV this Tuesday from 18:30 hours to 19:30 pm for the next 11 weeks.
Coke Studio Africa has merged with Coke Studio South Africa to form Coke Studio Africa 2017.
The merger saw the number of participating countries increasing from 11 to 18 across Africa, says Coca Cola activations manager Vee Chibanda.
“The programme supports artists by giving them platforms to showcase their talents and will inspire and introduce Africa’s music talents to a new and wider audience through interaction, collaboration and cooperation amongst musical artists,” said Chibanda.
ZBC Head Radio and TV Services Tendai Madondo said as ZBC TV, Power Fm and Radio Zimbabwe they are proud to be the broadcasting partners of this elite musical show.
Artists’ Amara Brown and Jah Prayzah expressed their happiness in being associated with Coke Studio Africa.
South Africa used to have its own production but the merger now means Coke Studio Africa 2017 will be broadcast in more than 30 countries in Africa and feature artists from these countries.
