Diaspora remittances overtake FDIs

Zimbabweans in the diaspora have realised the need to invest back their funds following a 40 percent increase in remittances which have overtaken foreign direct investments (FDI) during the first half of the year. Diaspora remittances are now ranked second in terms of capital inflows after export earnings from key five commodities, gold, tobacco, platinum, chrome and nickel. Pres Mugabe bemoans Mat South under-development

President Robert Mugabe has bemoaned the under-development of some parts of the country as compared to others, hence the need to ensure developmental programmes are accelerated in these areas for the benefit of the people.
