Matabeleland South Province is now ready to host the sixth leg of the Presidential Youth Interface rally which will be held at Phelandaba Stadium in Gwanda this Saturday.

The Zanu Secretary for Youth Affairs, Cde Kudzanayi Chipanga and members of the party’s national youth executive today visited the host venue to access its state of preparedness.

As preparations for the rally reach fever pitch, there are indications that the province which successfully hosted the 21st February Movement celebrations this year, will not disappoint.

Giving a brief to members of the national youth executive after a tour of the stadium, the Provincial Administrator, Ms Sithandiwe Ncube and the Provincial Youth Chairman, Cde Dingumuzi Phuthi assured all that it’s all systems go for the big event.

Cde Chipanga expressed satisfaction with the work that has been done so far, adding that the national youth executive is at hand to give the province the necessary support ahead of the rally.

Speaking at the same occasion, Zanu PF Central Committee member, Ambassador Aaron Maboyi commended the Youth League for leading the country’s young generation in the right direction.

A local miner, Trinos Nkomo and Gwanda senator, Cde Alma Mkhebu donated 10 and 2 cows respectively for the event.

Entertainment groups which include Nqama Yophondo, Nkovu and the ZPCS band are billed to perform at the function.
