HSB blunder on nurses salaries to cost treasury

Workers in the health sector, mostly nurses are being prejudiced of over half a million dollars every year since 2010 due to anomalies in the re-alignment of their appointment procedures. The Health Services Board (HSB) had lumped all nurses in grade ‘D1’ which is the entry grade for civil servants, leaving senior nurses and degree holders earning the same amount with junior nurses for the past seven years. Joint team to investigate ZRP, ZNA clashes

The country’s security sector says a joint team comprising members of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces and the Zimbabwe Republic Police has been set up to carry out a comprehensive enquiry into clashes that occurred in the central business district on Tuesday this week when some members of the ZDF were involved in skirmishes with ZRP officers. Mehluli Sibanda stormed into the final of the ITF 18 and under tournament after a 6-4, 6-7, 7-5 victory over South Africa’s Lleyton Cronje today. Sibanda showed character in overcoming Cronje in an epic semi-final at Harare Sports Club. He won the first set 6-4 but lost a second set tie break. President Mugabe in Iran

President Robert Mugabe has arrived in Tehran the capital of Iran to attend the second inauguration of President Hassan Rouhani slated for tomorrow. He was welcomed by Iranian Minister of Labour, Corporate and Social Services Ali Rabei, Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Iran Mr Nicholas Kitikiti and embassy officials.
