St Paul’s Musami hopes to repeat history

St Paul’s Musami Mission in Mrewa says it wants to emulate the history that was made by its team in 1966 which won the national soccer league title. The school’s soccer team coach Ian Muderede told the ZBC News after receiving a donation of a football uniforms, soccer boots and footballs from former student and banker Francis Dzanya that the donation will go a long way in motivating the team. Zanu PF Harare Province says it is now ready for the 2018 harmonised elections with calls for unity of purpose by the party members. Women parliamentarians call for equity

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has clarified that it is not the mandate of the electoral body to ensure political parties change their party constitutions to guarantee the inclusion of the 50/50 gender parity clause. The gender quota system which is enshrined in the new constitution was expected to move the Parliament of Zimbabwe towards achieving a 50/50 representation. The Macro-Economic and Financial Management Institute for Eastern and Southern Africa(MEFMI) says Zimbabwe is on course to achieve the 3.7 percent growth rate this year on the back of policies to resuscitate industry and a good maize harvest.
