The government has been commended for fulfilling one of its constitutional obligations by introducing the Command Agriculture Programme as it addresses food security challenges.

Addressing farmers and other stakeholders at a command agriculture field day at Goto Farm owned by Zanu PF Senator, Cde Rosemary Goto, Wedza North legislator, Cde David Musabayana said command agriculture is a fulfilment of Chapter 2, section 15 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe which talks of the state’s obligation to ensure food security in the country.

Senator Goto thanked the government for introducing the programme which she said is the answer to food insecurity.

Senator Goto has more than 30 hectares of maize under command agriculture and has already started preparations for the command wheat programme.
