The Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Dr Christopher Mushohwe says there has been an overwhelming response by the general public to the introduction of national languages television news bulletins on ZBC TV.

In an interview with ZBC News after touring the ZBC stand at the ongoing Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo, Dr Mushohwe said the overwhelming response by the generality of Zimbabweans proves that the launch of the languages was long overdue.

Turning to the trade showcase, Minister Mushohwe applauded the organisers of the event saying the theme dovetails well in terms of the country’s economic revival.

He paid gratitude to the media fraternity for having played a huge role in publicising the trade showcase adding that such kind of a spirit should continue on all events of national importance.

Dr Mushohwe was accompanied by the ZBC board chairman Father Gibson Munyoro, ZBC board member Mr Pritchard Zhou, ZBC’s acting chief executive officer Mr Patrick Mavhura and senior managers.

He was also appraised of the work that is being carried out at various radio and television stations at the ZBC.
