81 students from the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ), Namibian and Mozambican air forces successfully completed a four year diploma programme in air craft related trades this Friday at the School of Technical Training at Manyame Air Base in Harare.

81 students who completed number 12 diploma course of 2017 which was composed of 67 students from AFZ, two from Mozambique Defence Forces, six from the Namibian Air Force and six civilians from Air Zimbabwe were conferred with diplomas in aircraft related trades upon completion of their four year course.

Students specialised in aircraft engines and power plant, air frames, radio and tele communications, aircraft and safety equipment, among other trades.

Guest of honour at the pass out parade Air Vice Marshal Shebba Shumbayaonda called on the students to apply themselves diligently when they return to their various units.

Some of the graduants were all grateful for the skills they acquired at the Air Force School of Technical Training.

The joint training by the AFZ and other regional air forces enhances the inter-operations of the forces during joint operations as part of their obligations in maintaining peace and safeguarding territorial integrity within the region.
