The government requires US$188 million for the provision of humanitarian assistance in the short to medium term to cater for flood victims.
Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko said the appeal to international community will be complimented by government’s US$35 million.
He said the amount will assist in early recovery of affected communities with regards to relocation and for establishment of related social amenities and restoration of livelihoods.
The amount required for relocation and housing is US$4.4 million, schools require US$8.6 million, while roads infrastructure requires US$101 million.
