Some tobacco farmers are still experiencing challenges in accessing cash from the sale of the golden leaf.

Those who spoke to the ZBC News at Tobacco Sales Floor in Harare today said they are yet to get paid since selling their crop last Wednesday.

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has however assured tobacco farmers of availability of cash during the tobacco selling season.

A joint statement by the RBZ, the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (TIMB) and Tobacco Farmers Association, said individual farmers will be allowed to withdraw US$1000 from the first tobacco sale and US$500 dollars from subsequent sales.
