The sky is the limit for ZBC’s Radio Zimbabwe producer-presenter Mkhululi Liberty Luphahla known by his legion of fans as DJ Umfokamsiza/DJ Sizza who has become a household name across the country due to his prowess on radio.

Luphahla is one man who has proved that disability is not inability as the visually impaired DJ has taken the nation by storm.

During his show listeners are glued to their radios as he dishes out food for the ear.

Born a blind child to Mr and Mrs Luphahla in Bulawayo some 38 years ago, DJ Sizza attended St Bernard’s school in Bulawayo before he moved to Magreta Hugo Secondary School in Masvingo.

He did his A’ level at Marondera’s Waddilove High School with his mindset on becoming a broadcaster.

He then pursued a course in journalism at the Harare Polytechnic College and briefly worked as an interpreter before trying his luck in broadcasting at some South African community radio stations after having been snubbed by local stations before his great breakthrough in 2012.

Whenever DJ Sizza goes on air, his legion of fans are left asking for more as the multilingual DJ drops hit after hit while keeping his fans informed with the latest events happening from across the globe.

His workmates say the radio producer-presenter is a workhorse who enjoys doing his job with a passion nomatter what the time of the day.

DJ Sizza produces and presents a number of programmes which include ‘ezomdhabuko’, ‘ezokolo’ a gospel show, ‘dzemhuri/ ezemhuli’,’ ezabatsha’ and ‘hoza elokhitshini’ among others.

Mkhululi’s dream is to present a television programme and God willing, to own a media house.
