Stand up comedians have been given a lifeline after a local leisure point will now be hosting comedy nights every Tuesday.

The development is expected to change the face of the arts industry and promote upcoming comedians.

Dubbed ‘Laugh Out Harare Stand Up Club’, local comedians among them Doc Vikela, Madam Boss and Gonyeti will now be performing every Tuesday night at Jazz 24/7 in Harare.

Club spokesperson Yasini Dhala said comedy is an area that has not received enough support hence their decision to extend the invitation to local comedians.

The number of stand up comedians in Zimbabwe is slowly increasing and the recent event at Jazz 24/7 saw many new comers such as Tinaye Kadem and King Kandoro performing.
