At least 150 exhibitors are expected to participate at this year’s edition of the Victoria Falls Agricultural Show, to be held from 26–29 September in the resort town.
Dubbed the people’s show, the exhibition will be a platform for the agricultural sector value chain stakeholders in and around Victoria falls to create strategic business synergies.
Victoria Falls Agricultural Show Manager, Mr Tendai Moyo is upbeat of a successful exhibition, with a total of 150 exhibitors expected to participate at the annual fair.
“We are excited that there has been a substantial growth in terms of the number of participants with a total of 150 plus exhibitors expected to take part at this year’s edition of the annual fair,” he said.
The exhibition will also include a food expo meant to showcase the country’s traditional foods and promote culinary tourism.
Given its proximity to Africa’s forth longest river, the Mighty Zambezi, the area in and around Victoria Falls has the potential to become a green belt with a viable horticultural industry.
Calls have also been made in the past for farmers in the area to utilise the Victoria Falls International Airport to export agricultural products.
