The 2017 Sanganai/Hlanganani world tourism expo 10th edition has been officially launched with confirmation that the event is in Bulawayo to stay until it achieves its set objectives of developing the city’s tourism industry.
Ninety companies have so far confirmed their participation from a targeted 250 with 30 of them expected to be from foreign exhibitors.
Speaking during the official launch of the 2017 edition, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Officer Karikoga Kaseke, indicated that Bulawayo would continue to be the host of the Sanganai/Hlanganani for the foreseeable future.
He also urged local tourism players to fully support this year’s event and surpass the 70 percent uptake for last year’s edition.
The one stop event for suppliers, hoteliers, accommodation providers, travel agents and tour operators will see some of the exhibitors being honoured for the role they have played since its inception.
It was also revealed during the launch that all first time exhibitors were to be given free stands at the annual event set for the 27th of September to the 1st of October at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Exhibition Centre.
