Zimtrade says 10 Zimbabwean companies and Small to Medium Enterprises (SME’s) will participate at the Zambia International Trade Fair to be held from the 29th of July to the 5th of June.
Speaking to the Voice of Zimbabwe, the Chief Executive officer of Zimtrade, Mr Chrispen Tsvarai revealed that the Zimbabwean trade delegation specialises in food and beverages, clothing and textiles and office supplies which are on demand on the Zambian market.
Mr Tsvarai said Zimtrade anticipated that participation at the fair will result in continued growth in business between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
He also applauded government for setting up the one stop border post at Chirundu as it has facilitated and enhanced trade between Zimbabwe, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mr Tsvarai also revealed that Zimtrade is currently engaging potential suppliers of samples for display at the Yiwu Commodity Fair currently being held in China.
“As Zimtrade we will organise a series of workshops for companies involved in food and beverages, arts and crafts and agriculture with emphasis on tobacco and cotton which are primarily exported to China,” said Tsvarai.
Zimbabwe has been allocated a 100 square metre booth at the Yiwu Commodity Fair currently underway in China.
